In October, the leading trade fair for plastics and rubber K in Düsseldorf opened its doors again (16.-23.10.2019). The trade fair hosted 3.300 exhibitors from 63 countries and 224.116 visitors from 168 countries. The majority of the visitors came from Germany, followed by Italy, the Netherlands, India, Turkey and China. The fair confirmed that plastics continue to be an innovative and indispensable material. Visitors took great interest especially in recycling systems, sustainable raw materials and resource-saving processes. There was a positive mood prevailing echoed by concrete demand at exhibition stands, where the highest demand was for innovative machinery and raw materials. Machinery and equipment manufacturing was the biggest segment at K 2019 with 1,975 exhibitors. Critical themes as marine litter and the throw-away mentality associated with plastics packaging were not ignored either.
We are content with the visitors. The trade fair is an excellent opportunity to meet up with existing customers and to get in touch with potential new customers. At K2019, we presented the largest press for plastic sheets in the world (12x2m), which is in the final phase of production.
We also presented the largest press for the production of rubber tracks we have ever produced. On this press, rubber track of up to 1m width and over 9m circumference can be manufactured.
The large majority of the visitors were interested in presses for plastic sheets, followed by presses and equipment for rubber products. The visitors also took quite a lot of interest in our reference list, presented in the form of a wind mill.
